On Saturday, she revealed that she spoke to her father about disturbing reports that have surfaced on social media in the past claiming that at least seven men have paid dowry in the pursuit of marrying her.

“I told my father that people on social media say he has received seven dowries from my seven husbands; is it true?” Akothee narrated.

According to the singer, her parents denied ever receiving dowries from men, contrary to what is claimed on social networks.

“His answer was, “No, I haven’t even seen you with any man,” Akothee said.

The mother of five wondered why her parents denied ever seeing her with any man, even though not many months have passed since she got married to Mr. Denis Shweizer, aka Omosh, in a lavish wedding held in Nairobi.

About two months ago, Akothee insisted that she had only been officially married twice.

In her statement, the mother of five made it clear that her marriage to Denis Shweizer, aka Mr. Omosh, is her second, as many of her previous relationships did not lead to an official marriage.

Akothee urged her fans not to believe the many baseless rumors they see on social media.

“To my new followers, don’t fall into the trap of jealous people. I’ve only been married once with relationships that didn’t make it to marriage; this is my second marriage,” she said on Instagram.

The 43-year-old singer called many claims about him being married several times as lies.

She denied ever tying the knot with two South African men she has been associated with since the days of the house, noting that they were only characters in her music videos.

“These are the vixens in my music videos. Subscribe to my YouTube channel and watch my songs before you embarrass yourself, Oyuech Sweetlove ft. Diamond and Yuko in the Heart, which were recorded in South Africa,” she said.

She added, “These two men live in South Africa. The white man is married and has a family. Be polite.”

Akothee wanted people with bad intentions to leave him.
